Fluorescent Leaves

This week's Blogfire blog carnival theme is Autumn and foliage. We are just past peak for leaf peeping here in northern New Hampshire. I love living here because we have four distinct seasons, all indicated by the trees (well, usually - this year we barely had a summer lol).

The most amazing thing that struck me about the northern New England autumn are the colors the leaves take on - fluorescent colors. Bright orange rust and pumpkin colors, red hot glowing red, and the illuminating yellow.

The pictures really can't do it justice.

Here's a sampling of what we've captured, at least an attempt to share the scene.
